On Sunday, 8 June 2008, 300 lucky prize winners and VIP guests grabbed pole position at this year’s fastest movie premiere, Speed Racer, at Warner Bros. Movie World!

Guests walked the Red Carpet on Main Straight and through Pit Lane into the Roxy Theatre for the exclusive screening. And after the screening, guests challenged each other in the Intencity Racing Challenge at the after-party!

Speed Racer marks the Wachowski brothers’ first writing/directing collaboration since “The Matrix” movies. Joel Silver, who previously worked with the brothers on “The Matrix” movies, “V For Vendetta” and Gold Coast produced “Ghost Ship”, produced the film under his Silver Pictures banner

Based on the classic series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida, the live-action film Speed Racer showcases the revolutionary visual effects and cutting-edge storytelling that has become a trademark of the Wachowski brothers’ films. You can see Speed Racer in cinemas nationally.
